The MFAS debuted our expansion into the performance arts with an explosive multimedia performance by Elster Gina, a Chicago-based artist. Her work, Untitled on stream (2025), is a captivating "screenlife" multimedia project exploring identity and sexuality in the modern digital age, blending music, film, and live-commentary to build a layered narrative about finding oneself despite the distractions of the 21st century. The piece marked a bold step into new creative territory for the Society and set the tone for our commitment to innovative, interdisciplinary storytelling.

2nd Anniversary Celebration

This year marked a major milestone: not only was it the Society's 2-year anniversary, but it also marked the doubling of our membership, a testament to the growing community that believes in our mission. After a lively series of discussions (a review of Kubrick's filmography), we committed to expanding our projects, continuing to grow the organization, and to further support our members in their film pursuits!
Debut Screening

The MFAS had its first members' film event on February 10, 2023 in Evanston, IL, a retrospection of Lynch's digital works. The screening would mark the debut of the Society and set the tone for its eventual goals to highlight the works of the greats.
